Caring for Your Entrechat Dance Treasures

Lace is one of the most technically complicated textiles made. Its beauty lies in its fine, delicate, open construction. These qualities also make it somewhat fragile. Proper care will help extend the life of your shoe bags and ballet skirts.

We recommend hand-washing all our items, separated by color, in cool water with gentle detergent free of bleaches or optical brighteners, such as those designed for hand-washing lingerie or activewear. Rinse twice to remove all detergent, gently squeeze out excess water (do not wring) and lay flat or hang to dry. If you wish to iron, use a low, nylon or synthetic setting. Take care not to iron over any crystal embellishments. Never use bleach or machine dry.

Sizing and Fit

The right fit matters. For best results, measure your waist and the fullest part of your hips with a cloth tape measure, and compare your body measurements to the chart below. Our skirts wrap, so there’s some flexibility in the fit. These measurements leave a comfortable overlap in the front.  If you plan to wear your skirt below your natural waist, be sure to measure at that point on your body.
